Magical Discovery

I, (Laura that is), have recently become quite aware of the wonder that is

AUDIOBOOKS.

I recently, to the great annoyance of my husband, started re-reading the Harry Potter series
about a month ago, and am currently in the beginning of the 7th book, the Deathly Hallows.
As you can imagine, with most of the books being about 500-700 pages, that I have been doing a great deal of this reading, and thus I discovered the inconvenience of lugging a 5 pound book around.

1. I know my purse is big, but it still has no effect on the weight of the book.
2. Cleaning takes 5 times longer when you only have one hand to do it, and it tends to cramp.
3. When running on a treadmill at the gym, the words are not only completely blurred, but won't stay open, as with the rest of the machines.
4. Driving is mostly illegal to do while reading.
5. I can't imagine voices as cool as the "bloke" that reads the audio books.

I can clean for hours at a time, run to the adventures of Mister Potter, and only have a small iPod to carry with me, and car rides are looked forward to, seriously.

I'd like to bear you my testimony on Audiobooks.  I know that they are true.

Amen.
